NSF ART Seed Grant Reviews and Training at UW Innovation Week
Jenna Matheny, VP, conducting training on principles of market-driven research at the University of Wyoming
APIOiX provides program management and capacity-building at institutions and government agencies, worldwide. Over the last several years, we’ve provided support to re-engineer the University of Wyoming’s TTO and to launch and manage UW’s NSF ART program. In particular, the seed translational research grant and Ambassador programs.
With round two of the seed grant applications reviewed and awarded, APIOiX personnel returned to the UW campus for Innovation Week. Training was provided for NSF ART Ambassadors and seed grant recipients, including presentations on how to write a winning translational research grant application, and conducting customer discovery. The latter serves as an intro to the NSF I-Corps program.
APIOiX VP Jenna Matheny, formerly head of the NSF I-Corps program at the University of New Hampshire is one of a select group of I-Corps trainers in the U.S. For the Ambassador Customer Discovery Program, Matheny works hands-on with graduate students and post-doctoral fellows to teach basic I-Corps principles.
