Technical and Business Assistance (TABA)
APIOiX is a provider of SBIR-STTR Technical and Business Assistance (TABA).
The John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act allows SBIR awardees to request funding for TABA. Awardees are permitted to enter into agreements with one or more vendors to provide services including but not limited to Intellectual Property support, customer discovery, market assessment, business strategies, and manufacturing plan development. TABA funds may not be used for research and development (R&D) activities that are otherwise supported by the grant funds.
APIOiX offers the following services:
Market research, validation, and customer needs assessment
Develop, review, edit commercial development plans
Review and develop intellectual property strategy
Product development and regulatory strategies
Technology marketing collateral and technology marketing
Identification and outreach to potential commercial partners
Develop, review, and advice on collaboration and licensing deal terms
