Kristin is an entrepreneur at heart. Over the course of her career she has launched, or helped launch, over 50 for-profit and nonprofit companies.

Kristin founded APIOiX in 2012. She has served as director of technology transfer and venture development programs at the University of Northern Colorado and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), as well as Vice President for Marketing and Communications for AUTM. Prior to technology transfer, Kristin worked in two sectors: the finance sector where she learned the ins-and-outs of investment and equity financing, and nonprofit management as executive director of a medical association.

In addition to startups, Kristin has particular expertise in marketing, research collaborations, and strategic communications, web management, and software development.

For nearly a decade, Kristin served as Chair/Co-Chair of AUTM Professional Development Courses, Essentials and Marketing. During that time she led an effort to reengineer the course curriculum.  She has a Bachelor of Science with majors in bioscience and music, and a Master of Business Administration in technology entrepreneurship and law.
