Alan naidoff, DMD, JD

A 15-year veteran of Merck, Alan worked in both External Scientific Affairs, and Business Development and Licensing. He is longtime AUTM (Association of University Technology Managers) member with extensive experience in university-industry alliances. 

Alan holds two doctoral degrees: a JD with an emphasis in health law from Widener University School of Law, and a DMD from Temple University School of Dentistry. Dr. Naidoff also holds a bachelor of science in biology from Cook College, Rutgers University and did his residency in general dental practice, internal medicine, oral/maxillofacial surgery, and pathology at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

At Merck, Alan was responsible for handling end-to-end transactions. He identified and assessed commercial opportunities, and negotiated and executed in-licensing, out-licensing, partnering, and mergers & acquisition agreements in support of product development in the following divisions: diabetes, cardiovascular, cardiometabolic, immunology, respiratory, oncology, anti-virals, anti-bacterials, drug delivery systems, si-RNA, biologics and antibody-based therapeutics, genetically engineered animals, molecular biological tools, biosimilars, and reagents.  

After leaving Merck, Alan served as senior associate director for corporate engagement at Princeton University.
