Associate VICE PRESIDENT FOR RESEARCH, LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY

Andy holds a JD in Law and an LLM in Intellectual Property. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and a Masters of Science in engineering/material science. He currently serves as Associate Vice President for Research and Director of Technology Transfer in the Office of Innovation & Technology Commercialization at Louisiana State University, with a faculty appointment in the College of Business at LSU.

An expert in technology and patent valuation, intellectual property management and patent law, Andy has served as faculty and chair of the Valuation Course for the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) for more than a decade. He also serves as faculty for the AUTM Essentials Course and has delivered courses for AUTM across the globe.

In addition to his legal and valuation expertise, Andy is an expert in university and technology-based economic development, licensing, and startup creation.
